My second Online Town Hall meeting of the year will begin right here at 8:00 PM. We’ll talk about a few things that have happened in the Legislature, like the introduction of the House version of ethics reform.

Hey buddy,

1) Should average people be aware and familiar with open records / open meetings standards and rules? I’m not sure why it would be necessary.

2) What sort of input / collaboration do you have with GCPS leadership? Do you have any stances on the Article 21 revisions from the Gov? Any way we can keep state funding where it is or increase it, while requiring accountability from the schol system? There seems to be a gap in accountability and consequences.

3) It seems the state budget is as lean as it can get – is that true? Should there be some room for raising taxes to provide for education, transportation, support for the poor, or mental health benefits?

I like the idea of parent trigger legislation. Can you add an appeal process when local districts deny applications?

Has there been any conversation in moving to a zero state income tax like TN and FL?

As we have such a great entrepreneurial, entertainment and sports community, I’ve seen some in the music side move to either FL or TN to save their tax revenue which moves it out of GA. Thoughts?

There is a movement nationally for States to nullify Federal laws that are considered abusive (abuses of Constitutiional Law). What is your feel on that subject?

I believe our college students at Ga Tech are being victimized due to being in a gun-free zone. Do you support efforts to allow them to carry?
